About Me

My name is Lesley Pastell. I was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. I currently reside in Reno, Nevada where I attend the University of Nevada, Reno.  I am a Business Management major and an Economics Policy minor and will be graduating in the Spring of 2012.  Over the summer I had an internship with Target as an Executive Intern.  This internship was a great experience because I was able to grow and develop as a leader as well as spend time with senior leadership within each department of the store learning and see what it takes to run an effective retail store.

Currently I work as the UNR Campus Liaison for Target. I was given this position in order to stay connected with Target until graduation when I become an Executive Team Leader.  As campus liaison, I am working to recruit talented students from UNR to fill leadership and management positions in the store.  In the role of campus liaison I work on making connections on campus, schedule interviews, attend career and networking events, and think of creative ways to source and find talented applicants.

I have really enjoyed the role as campus liaison, which is why I have decided to blog about recruiting.  Since I am passionate about my job and sourcing candidates, I feel like blogging about recruiting will benefit myself as well as other recruiters and candidates.  I am excited to begin blogging and look forward to sharing my views and insights on recruiting.
