Use Your Time Wisely!

In my last post I talked about how important it is to recruit through social media sites; however, there are some things to remember when you are recruiting through these sites.  One crucial factor to remember is to make the most of your time.  As a recruiter you generally tend to be busy and pulled in all different directions.  Making the most of your time is indeed important to remember when recruiting.

Involvement in social media sites is the key for using social media for recruiting.  In order to find great candidates, you must be able to make many connections to explore all your options.  Making these connections can be extremely time consuming, which is why you need to make the most of your time and still be as connected as possible. There are a few ways that you can do this.

Having a mobile application on your phone will definitely help you stay connected and make the most of your time.  Many people are rarely without their phones and therefore using a mobile application is a great way to stay connected.  With these mobile applications, you are able to instantly get updates from your social media sites and respond immediately.  This will definitely help you use your time wisely.

Another way to use your time efficiently is to ask people what “channels” they are using to connect with others.  This will help you to connect with others more easily.  You should also look to see how your competitors are going about to connect with others on social media sites.  By talking with others and looking at competitors, you will be able to narrow down where you need to focus in regards to social media and direct your focus their.  So remember, use your time wisely!

Good stuff Lesley! I have been trying to stay on a consistent Social media routine and use tools to schedule follow ups, tweets, and updates.
